
On October 3, 2019, the Greenways Ukraine project, together with colleagues from the Tourist Association of Ivano-Frankivsk region and the CSO Network to support communities with heritage, will hold the Small Communities Heritage Day as part of the UITM-2019 tourist exhibition.
The purpose of Heritage Day: to present and discuss practices, approaches, solutions and opportunities for joint activity of civil society organizations with small communities of Ukraine in careful preservation and wise use of heritage resources.
The main topics that will be considered:
• Successful stories of community activists (CSOs) involving local residents in practical activities related to heritage revitalization.
• Successful festivals and performances based on community heritage.
• Careful use / adaptation of antique objects for business projects or for educational purposes.
• Experience in creating new tourism products (services, tours) based on heritage potential.
• Reincarnating heritage for development through interpretation.
The event will take place at the address: Kyiv, International Exhibition Center, 15 Brovarskii Ave., Pavilion 4, Conference Hall 19.
Duration: 10.00-14.00.
Invited: CSOs, representatives of Ukrainian communities, tourism business, green estates, experts in the field of tourism, representatives of mass media.
