Discussion of the concept of forming the ICATO network

The NGO “Association for the Development of Rural Green Tourism in Ukraine” with the support of “U-LEAD with Europe” started work on the project of creating a network of informational and advisory agritourism centers in communities (ICATO).

The goal of the project is to create pilot informational advisory and agrotourism centers in communities on the basis of existing hospitable rural estates of personal peasant and family farms to promote successful practices and knowledge regarding rural tourism as a factor of sustainable rural development.

IKATO – what is it?

IKATO is a tool for demonstrating ideas, trends, success stories, techniques, technologies, management, marketing in the field of rural green tourism for business and community members for diversification of agricultural activities and community development.

What does IKATO decide?

helps establish an effective dialogue between local business, local self-government bodies and residents, which will accelerate the development of local communities;

creates opportunities for peasant and farm households to develop agrarian and non-agrarian activities;

helps communities to effectively use human, natural, historical, cultural and financial resources.

Project implementation period: December 2021 – October 2022.

We invite interested representatives of territorial communities to join the discussion of the concept of forming the IKATO network, which will take place on February 3, 2022 at 11:00-12:15.

The discussion of the concept of IKATO will be carried out in an online format through MS Teams.
