The seminar “Amalgamated Territorial Communities and Tourism” was held within the framework of the UITT tourism exhibition

On March 29, 2019, within the framework of the 25th UITT: “UKRAINE – Travel & Tourism”, a seminar on “Amalgamated Territorial Communities and Tourism” was held. Seminar organizers: The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the NGO “Union for the Promotion of Rural Green Tourism in Ukraine”.

The following issues were discussed at the seminar:

● Modern community: diversification to achieve rural development goals

● Changing the spectrum of economic development of ATCs through tourism

● Powers of community members in carrying out activities in the field of rural green tourism in Ukraine

● Basic requirements of food legislation to business entities engaged in food circulation

● Attractiveness of tourism and tasting business in Odesa region

● Cooperation of tour operators with tourism entities in amalgamated territorial communities

● Practical experience of cooperation between tourist attractive cities and ATCs

● Tourism: rural, historical – growth points (experience of the “Salt Road” project)

Use of natural resources in the development of the tourism industry in Askania-Nova.

The seminar also presented the roadmap “Development of Sustainable Tourism in Amalgamated Territorial Communities” and successful practices of tourism development in Ukrainian ATCs.
