We are looking for a community for a study trip on the development of rural tourism

The NGO “Association for the Development of Rural Green Tourism in Ukraine” organizes a study trip to share experience in the development of rural tourism within the framework of the “Perspectives for the Sustainable Development of Rural Areas” project, which is implemented with the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.

We are looking for successful tourism-attractive OTGs to conduct a study trip for representatives of communities responsible for rural development or the tourist component (rural tourism) of the community, and project partners from Ukraine and Germany.

Topic of the trip:  rural development, rural tourism, rural hospitality.

Period:  October 13-15, 2021.

Discussions, presentations, and participation in events are planned as part of the study trip.

The community that invites study trip participants must:  

– to present the successful history of sustainable development of the tourist component, in particular, rural green tourism with visits to agro-tourism facilities, peasant farms, etc.;

– to present an event related to the Feast of the Intercession;

– offer compact accommodation for 20 study trip participants (single and double rooms);

– organize food for 20 participants from products of local producers, dishes of Ukrainian and local cuisine; 

– provide premises for holding discussions and presentations with appropriate support for work (screen, projector, etc.).

Expenses for accommodation, food, and room rent will be carried out in accordance with contracts with local performers (FOP) according to the KVEDs of their activities.

Important:  the community must be located at a distance of up to 3 hours’ drive from Kyiv. 

To participate in the organization of the educational trip, a representative of the community must submit  an application in an arbitrary form  to the address  info@greentour.com.ua

The application deadline  is September 15, 2021 inclusive.

Submit to the application:

– a brief history of the development of the tourist component of the community;

– availability of FOPs for organizing accommodation and meals;

– contacts of the person responsible for organizing the visit;

The NGO “Union of Rural Green Tourism of Ukraine” is a public organization that works to unite the owners of estates and tourists on the most powerful communication and marketing platforms, creates an attractive and high-quality alternative for tourists when choosing recreation in the form of rural green tourism, and helps the owners of estates to achieve sustainable development.

DRA eV is an international non-governmental charitable organization that works in the field of education, democracy, ecology, public initiatives and human rights. DRA eV connects people and organizations and strengthens contacts between different sectors of society.
