The NGO “Association for the Development of Rural Green Tourism in Ukraine” with the support of the “U-LEAD with Europe” Program started work on the project of creating a network of informational and advisory agritourism centers in communities (ICATO).
The goal of the project is to create five pilot informational advisory and agrotourism centers on the basis of operational hospitable rural estates of personal peasant and family farms to promote successful practices and knowledge regarding rural tourism as a factor of sustainable rural development.
The project is aimed at solving the problem of awareness of business and community residents regarding the possibilities of entrepreneurship development, diversification of agricultural activities and community development, including using the tool of tourism. IKATO will be an important element of improving mutual learning and forming local models of interaction between communities and local business, which will include both the existing relationships between business and the community, as well as the creation of new relationships and partnerships. The project will be implemented in the period from December 2021 to October 2022.
We invite representatives of united territorial communities, public organizations, media, activists, experts and all interested persons to join the implementation of the project!
