Seminar “Farming and Tourism” was held within the framework of the Forum of Farming Technologies

On March 12, 2019, the seminar “Farming and Tourism” was held as part of the Forum of Farming Technologies at the new location of KyivExpoPlaza.
The seminar was opened by Serhii Mykolayovych Shupyk, Deputy Director of the Department of Farming Support, Cooperation and Development of Rural Territories – Head of the Farming Support Department of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy. 
Volodymyr Vasiliev, head of the Union of the Northwest Territories of Ukraine, gave a presentation of the experience of organizing rural tourism and recommendations for the owners of peasant and farm households regarding the organization of tourist activities. 

Pavlo Yarmii, head of the Agency for Regional Development of the Tavria Association of Territorial Communities, vice-president of the Tavria Tourist Alliance, presented the Greenways project “Salt Road”.

Tetyana Prokopivna Kalna-Dubiniuk, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor of the Department of Agrarian Consulting and Tourism of NUBiP of Ukraine, spoke about the peculiarities of educational programs for sustainable rural development – the experience of the United States.

Olena Lokutova, candidate of science and technology. of Sciences, associate professor of the department of agricultural consulting and tourism of NUBiP of Ukraine emphasized the possibilities of organizing apitourism in farms.

Lyudmila Smolyakova, folk master – about the revival of Trypil culture and its place in the development of tourism.
The stand of the Union of Rural Green Tourism of Ukraine worked at the exhibition. Stand organizers Tetyana Shashkova and Iryna Okolovych; Oleg Demchenko offered the products of the Lyubimiv saffron farm and shared his experience in organizing tourism; Lyudmila Voloshinova from Kirovohrad Oblast decided to join the Union, Lyudmila Smolyakova presented products of Trypil culture; Andriy Voitko and Yevhen Bezugliy, farmers from the Kyiv region, plan to take the first steps in the field of tourism in the new tourist season.
