On August 18-19, on the occasion of the Day of the Beekeeper and the Honey Savior, the All-Ukrainian Art Festival “Honey Melon” will be held in the village of Khotske, Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi district. The event is organized at the initiative of Oleksiy Pashchenko, a doctor of the highest category, honorary apitherapist of Ukraine, and Volodymyr Buznytsky, owner of Volodar farm, with the support of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky District State Administration.
The festival will feature a fair of organic vegetables and fruits, including watermelons and melons grown using biotechnology, drinking honey from the winners of the Ukrainian Beekeepers Guild competition, and souvenirs by craftsmen.
The guests will be entertained by performances by artistic groups from Pereyaslav region. There will also be exhibitions of works by artists, including Honored Artist of Ukraine Galina Morozova, and a creative meeting with poet and editor-in-chief of Dnipro magazine Mykola Lukiv. In the evening, everyone will enjoy a fire extravaganza and a dance program.
“This is the first time we are holding such an event. It has several goals: to present organic products to our visitors, as well as to introduce the work of artists and bands to a wider audience,” said Volodymyr Buznytskyi, co-organizer of the festival, farmer and beekeeper.
The festival will feature a wellness program: consultations with top-category doctor Alexey Pashchenko, bioenergy diagnostics by apitherapist Vladimir Koshman, and integrated methods of folk medicine specialist Anatoly Ivashina, including wax cleansing and honey massage. For ATO participants, children under 12, orphans and the disabled, the examinations and rehabilitation are free of charge.
“Beekeeping products are popular abroad. For example, in Japan, which is famous for its long-lived people, children under 16 are provided with such products as honey or royal jelly in schools free of charge, at the expense of the state. Unfortunately, our country does not pay enough attention to this, and children do not get enough of these healthy products,” says Volodymyr Buznytsky. – “We want to popularize apitherapy. The health center of our festival will offer consultations, diagnostics, and honey massage. As well as apitherapy sessions using a special method: a person lies down indoors on a bee bed with a hive under it, so the bees heal him with their micro-vibration, align biorhythms, and improve his health.”
You can get to the festival from Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyi: special buses will run from the market to the village of Khotske, 20 km from the city. The event will also provide security, free parking, tents and shelters, and dry closets.
The Honey Bashtan festival will last for two days, on August 18 and 19, from 10-11 am until sunset. Admission is free.
