Luhansk region revives rural tourism

After a long break, the Ethno Eco Manor – Museum “House wrapped in warmth” opened its doors – a great place to fully experience the originality of the east of Luhansk Region and the hospitality of its residents.

It is located in the center of the village of Bilovodsk, on a hill in a picturesque place and is a calm, cozy place for relaxation – here you can spend the night in an old house or on hay in a “nest”, there is also a place where you can set up your tent. With the help of the hosts, there is an opportunity to cook your own lunch in the peasant stove in the yard. The manor holds master classes on cooking traditional peasant dishes: kulish, kandyura, soup, zatirka, dumplings, halushok, uzvar, herbal tea, honey kvass, etc. Next to the manor there are many catering facilities that also serve delicious food.

The original culture of the east of Luhansk Region is still preserved in traditions and rituals. Guests can take part in ancient rites and holidays not only as witnesses, but also as actors of interesting folk events. In the home museum, there is an opportunity to get acquainted with the materials of the development of green tourism in the Luhansk Region (“The House Wrapped in Warmth” is one of the first estates of rural green tourism, created in 2006 in the Luhansk Region, it was visited by many guests from different parts of the world). The private library has rare, interesting and useful pedagogical and local history literature. If necessary, the owners of the manor and volunteers are ready to conduct educational activities for visitors on local history and the history of their native region.

There are a lot of interesting places in the village of Bilovodsk and near it, where you can spend your time with benefit. This is the Derkul River with its wildlife and clean springs, white mountains on which rare plants grow, the most common of which are creeping thyme, mountain flax and fragrant wormwood. Ten kilometers from Bilovodsk there are horse farms with unique architecture, thoroughbred horses and the opportunity to ride horses or in a cart pulled by a heavy truck. And even closer to the village there are populations of marmots, the place of a meteorite fall with a plume of stones of otherworldly origin, the Dubivets river with a dam where you can fish.

Homesteads in the village of Bilovodsk are a great option for those who want to get away from everyday life and discover the treasures of the lovely, picturesque Luhansk region.
