
On April 11, the Institute of Postgraduate Education and the Department of Agricultural Consulting and Tourism gladly opened their doors to the students of the College of Culture and Art, located in the very center of Kyiv, next to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

Acquaintance with the university began with the administrative building, where a presentation of the scientific achievements of the faculties and NNI took place in the hall, in the central assembly hall the rector Stanislav Nikolayenko gladly welcomed the guests, the responsible secretary of the admissions committee Viktor Shevchuk familiarized them with the rules for admission to the NUBiP of Ukraine in 2018 and it was a celebratory concert of the creative teams of the Department of Cultural Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was held.

The guests from the college, interested in further studies in the specialty “Tourism”, were warmly welcomed by the representatives of the Institute, led by the deputy director Tereza Mykytsa and the head of the department of agrarian consulting and tourism Tetyana Kalna-Dubiniuk in the educational laboratory of agrarian consulting and service.

Professor Tetiana Kalna-Dubiniuk introduced the guests to the peculiarities of studying under the “Tourism” program, the director of the OLDI TRAVEL travel company Olesya Brovkina invited her to sunny Bulgaria for an internship, and the second-year students shared the highlights of their studies at the university.

Acquaintance with the university was continued by associate professor Olena Lokutova, who focused on the innovative direction of world tourism – green and agrotourism, and during the tour of the botanical garden spoke about the university’s capabilities in training specialists in this direction. Then, reinforcing the words with impressions, the guests’ path lay through the botanical garden to the department of horse breeding and beekeeping.
The real highlight of the program for our guests was the visit and excursions to the NNVL of horse breeding, the Holosiiv educational and research apiary and the Museum of Beekeeping and Medicinal Plants of the NUBiP of Ukraine.
Head of the Department of Horse Breeding and Beekeeping, Doctor of Science, Professor M. G. Povoznikov introduced
and guests with a laboratory and educational classes of the department and residents of the stable (horses and Scottish ponies), an api-house for conducting apitherapy sessions and an exposition of the beekeeping museum.

The tour of the museum of medicinal plants was conducted by its founder Volodymyr Bilenko. During the excursion, he introduced the guests to the museum collection, told about medicinal plants and their properties.

The guests from the College of Culture and Arts were extremely impressed by the originality and uniqueness of the expositions of the department’s museums and expressed sincere interest in studying at the university.
