Deputy Chairman of the Board of the NWT Union in Ukraine took part in the XV Forum of the Network of Free Local Politicians

The XV Forum of the Network of Free Local Politicians was held in the city of Kryvyi Rih from March 23 to 25, the theme of which was “Tourist potential of communities as a catalyst for the local economy.”

Tetyana Shashkova, deputy head of the board of the NGO “Association for the Promotion of the Development of Rural Green Tourism in Ukraine”, spoke to the participants of the Forum on the topic: “Green tourism as a tourist potential for community development”.

Forum participants got acquainted with the activities of the Association of Rural Green Tourism, which actively popularizes rural green tourism in Ukraine – recreation in the village. The union used European experience for its work.

Tetyana Shashkova noted that it is worth distinguishing between green tourism and business, spoke about legal regulation, the legality of this type of tourism and the expected results of the legislation.

“Anyone can become a member of the Union and it has its advantages,” noted Tatyana. – A web resource was created for effective interaction between object owners, tourists and partners of the Union. Members of the Union – owners of estates have the possibility of protection, there is a hotline. Now the Union is actively working on the creation and further development of clusters of rural green tourism in Ukraine.”

The forum of the network of free local politicians is organized by  the NGO “Center for Citizen Initiatives”  and aims to unite people who recognize human rights, freedom of speech, the rule of law and the market economy as the highest values, and make efforts to transfer power and responsibility to the local level. as the closest to the citizens, realizing that changes in the country are achieved only through changes at the local level and entail an increase in the capabilities of the citizen and the country.
